Tokyo Has Grown in Size and Culture

Tokyo has not always been the great metropolis it is today. It was originally a fishing village and was known as Edo. But this fishing village once not stay for a long period of low. In 1603, Edo was a center of the Japanese military government when Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu was throne. This permits both the village and culture to develop. In the eighteenth century, the population grew to over one million people.

Today, more than 8 million people in Tokyo, Japan, and another 2.5 million the city during the day go to school or to go to work. This makes the population of this city more than ever before. As in America, it turned into a cultural melting pot.

Not all of Japanese society, especially in this beautiful city, is composed of people from the heritage of this country. Today, people of Filipino, American, British, French and Chinese descent who live there. People from other cultures have contributed much to the Japanese culture and have a lot of things.

If most of us from a city, the kings in the world of finance is to think we would probably think of New York. While this city one of the top ranking is there are two others that may be included in the same category, London and Tokyo, Japan. This is not only a king in the world of high finance, but it has the largest economy in the world. Another claim that this city can boast of is the fact that more than 50 Japanese companies are on the Global 500 list.

Once a small fishing village, the town is now huge Tokyo certainly grown in size and culture over the years. The Japanese company have been through many changes over the centuries, many large populated held today. When people came from other cultures to Japan for a living, they brought their philosophies and ideas, some of which were adapted by the Japanese. The Japanese city has become a huge financial and cultural hub attracting more people who want to visit, work and live in this beautiful city.
